Welcome to my website.

After a number of years of photography being a hobby - I had been gifted a couple of cameras as a child and I bought my first 35mm SLR in 1979 but following the introduction of digital photography my interest waned and was not rekindled until around 2015 - I have been persuaded to some of my pictures available to a wider audience.

Although I have regularly published images on Instagram since 2017 (@johndowsephotography and @johndowseincolour) there is a small but increasing number of images which, for me, stand out from my more general postings. It is those images which will feature here.

Any of the images on display here can be purchased, as a signed, limited edition print (subject to availability) issue.
